Erica M. Rivera, Psy.D.
Prior to joining ghSMART, Erica was a Partner at RHR International, a leading management consulting firm. In this role she provided executive assessment for Senior team assessment and selection for mergers and acquisitions, setting up quicker post-close transitions and minimizing operational setbacks. Erica was also responsible for executive and board director assessments, succession planning, and overall c-suite advisory, to ensure readiness for executive roles in order to build both internal and external confidence in leadership transitions. Within RHR, Erica was instrumental in the build out of the private equity practice and the creation and execution of the new consultant onboarding and training program.
Prior to RHR, Erica was principal of a management consulting firm that delivered executive assessment, development, and team-effectiveness services. Before completing her doctorate in psychology, Erica held positions in private and public companies in roles that included marketing and client services for an investment consulting firm as well as marketing and international distribution for the film division of a major entertainment company.
Erica has lived in Asia and traveled extensively throughout the globe. She graduated from American University in Washington, D.C. with a bachelor’s degree in international business. She holds a master’s degree in psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute in California, and both a master’s and doctorate degree in clinical psychology from Long Island University in New York. Erica serves on the board of Sound Bodies for Life, a not-for-profit initiative dedicated to educating families and children in underserved communities about nutrition, food, and healthy habits. Erica lives in Los Angeles with her husband and two daughters.
