Pamela Harless

Pamela Harless is the Chief People Officer of ghSMART responsible for the firm’s hire-to-retire talent processes, including recruiting, professional development, and human resources.

Prior to joining ghSMART, Pamela was the Chief People & Culture Officer of Grant Thornton, LLP, where she led the successful transformation of the firm’s culture and redesigned the firm’s people processes to support the firm’s growth vision. During her tenure, the firm grew from 5,000 professionals to over 8,000 and received numerous awards for its culture, talent practices and “grow your whole self” employee promise. A pioneer in professional development, the firm’s leadership academies were recognized by the Conference Board as best practice. Previously, she was the VP of People and Human Resources at Capgemini. While at Capgemini she leveraged her extensive consulting background to start up a talent sourcing center in India, restructure the firm’s approach to university recruiting and onboarding, and implement a Leadership Development program that served to both retain top talent and prepare them to be future leaders of the firm. Pamela’s previous experience includes COO at Lucernex Technologies and Principal Consultant in Capgemini’s Telecommunications, Media and Entertainment Sector. She spent the first 15 years of her career as a management consultant at Anderson Consulting (Accenture) and Ernst & Young. Pamela has earned recognition in Workforce Magazine as a leader in Human Resources and has also received Woman of the Year Honors from the National Association of Female Executives.

She earned a BBA from Southern Methodist University in Finance and Psychology. She lives in Dallas, Texas, with her husband and son.
