Greg Janicik is a Principal at ghSMART. He advises CEOs and top teams to achieve quantifiable outcomes by enacting specific strategies for recruiting, organizational design, succession planning, performance management, and leadership development. He partners closely with clients to accelerate results and drive change. Greg’s areas of expertise include executive assessment and development, organization design, CEO and C-suite transitions, senior team strategic alignment, succession planning, and organizational transformation. He enables companies to achieve their goals by identifying transformation opportunities, helping them successfully execute new strategies, and ultimately improving cross-functional collaboration and coordination. Greg has developed HR strategies, enhanced the ROI on innovation efforts, managed through complex restructurings, and improved organizational performance by aligning senior teams behind aggressive growth strategies and by shifting enterprise-wide operating cultures.
Prior to joining ghSMART, Greg was a partner at RHR International and served as leader of RHR’s Leading Transformational Change practice area. Prior to RHR, Greg was with Mercer Delta, Korn Ferry, and his own firm. Greg has worked with financial services, technology, life sciences, consumer goods, and media & entertainment companies.
Earlier in his career, Greg was a full-time faculty member of the New York University Stern School of Business and held various roles in commercial operations and product management for Hitachi Medical Systems America and Westinghouse Electric Corporation.
Greg received his doctorate in managerial and organizational behavior from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. In addition to an MBA from the Booth School of Business, he holds a bachelor’s degree in biomedical and electrical engineering from Duke University.
