Prior to ghSMART, she co-headed the senior leadership development function (Pine Street) at Goldman Sachs. Over her eight years at Goldman Sachs, she focused on developing and coaching the firm’s partners, managing directors, and select external clients. Shoma’s research focuses on manager effectiveness in producer-driven cultures.
Previously, Shoma was a management consultant for over a decade, as a Senior Manager at Deloitte Consulting and as an Associate at CSC Index. She has also held leadership and consulting roles in public sector organizations including the Federal Reserve Bank and the United Nations.
Shoma graduated from Northwestern University with a B.A. in economics and math. She earned her MBA at Columbia Business School and a Master in International Economics from Columbia University. She is a founding fellow at the Institute of Coaching and has completed coaching certifications from the University of California at Berkeley, The College of Executive Coaching, and the Neuroleadership Institute. She resides in New York City.
