Anup Swamy is a Principal at ghSMART, partnering with leaders of Fortune 500 companies, private equity firms and other premier organizations to address critical leadership challenges through management assessment, leadership coaching and talent and organizational development solutions.
Prior to joining ghSMART, Anup was SVP of Consumer Product Development at Time Inc., where he led the development of all new consumer products and services across the company. Anup and his team worked across the organization to develop business plans for new opportunities, validate these concepts in market and launch new businesses. He also led all strategic partnerships for Time Inc. Consumer, managing key distribution and licensing partners. Prior to these roles, Anup was the Consumer GM at Sports Illustrated, owning the consumer P&L and all customer acquisition and ongoing customer management for the Sports Illustrated Group.
Prior to Time Inc., Anup was a Principal at Bain & Company, where he spent nearly 10 years. He partnered primarily with executives in financial services, developing deep expertise in consumer loyalty and credit cards across product/portfolio strategy, loyalty strategy, customer experience and strategic partnership negotiations. Anup was also heavily involved in talent development and training, and he led the global Senior Associate Consultant training for 2 years.
Anup has a MBA in Entrepreneurship and Health Care Management from The Wharton School and a BS in Economics and South Asia Regional Studies from The University of Pennsylvania.
He currently lives in the NYC area with his wife and two children.
