Anup Swamy is a Principal at ghSMART, partnering with leaders of Fortune 500 companies, private equity firms and other premier organizations to address critical organizational and leadership challenges through management assessment, leadership coaching and talent and organizational development solutions.
Prior to joining ghSMART, Anup was SVP of Consumer Product Development at Time Inc., where he led the development of all new consumer products and services across the company. Anup and his team worked across the organization to develop business plans for new opportunities, validate these concepts in market and launch new businesses. He also led all strategic partnerships for Time Inc. Consumer, managing key client relationships with several large organizations. Prior to these roles, Anup was the GM and VP for Consumer Marketing at Sports Illustrated, owning the consumer P&L and all new customer acquisition and ongoing customer management for the Sports Illustrated Group.
Prior to Time Inc., Anup was a Principal at Bain & Company, where he spent nearly 10 years. He partnered primarily with senior executives in financial services, developing deep experience in consumer loyalty and credit cards across product/portfolio strategy, loyalty strategy, customer experience and strategic partnership negotiations, where he led one of the largest credit card/airline negotiations on record. Outside of client work, Anup was heavily involved in talent development and training, and he led the global Senior Associate Consultant training in Cancun for 2 years during his tenure.
Anup has a MBA in Entrepreneurship and Health Care Management from The Wharton School and a BS in Economics and South Asia Regional Studies from The University of Pennsylvania. He currently resides in suburban New Jersey with his wife Puja and two children.
