Cara is a Principal at ghSMART, where she advises investors and Fortune 500 companies on their most pressing leadership challenges, including talent assessment, leadership development and organizational effectiveness.
Prior to joining ghSMART, Cara was a consultant at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG), where she advised senior leaders of Fortune 500 companies and investors on organizational change and corporate strategy. As Global Practice Manager of the Principal Investor & Private Equity Practice at BCG, Cara was the global practice “COO” responsible for strategy creation and execution, practice team management, and knowledge management. Before taking on this global role, Cara was a Project Leader at BCG serving clients across multiple industries with a focus in private equity, financial services, and pharmaceuticals. Her client engagements covered diverse topics including organizational strategy, corporate strategy, transformation and change management.
Cara graduated with honors from The College of William & Mary with a degree in Economics and Public Policy. She earned her MBA from Dartmouth Tuck School of Business where her coursework focused on strategy. She lives in Boston with her husband and son.
