Dionne Hosten is a Partner at ghSMART serving private equity and corporate clients in the areas of succession planning, leadership assessment, leadership development and organizational change initiatives. She advises boards, executives, and investors on their most important leadership challenges.
Dionne has had over two decades of leadership advisory experience at the Board and C-suite level, both at ghSMART, where she has co-led the CEO succession practice, and formerly at executive search firm Spencer Stuart where she specialized in CEO and senior management searches in the Cable, Broadcasting, and Consumer Internet sectors. At Spencer Stuart, Dionne was also one of only a handful of consultants selected to join its growing Executive Assessment (EAS) practice. As a member of EAS, Dionne led projects that ranged in scope from CEO succession to top-team assessments and development planning. Most recently she brought her talents in-house as VP – Talent Management at Ralph Lauren with responsibility for senior executive recruiting and talent management.
In her early career, Dionne spent several years in the Technology, Communications & Media industries both as an equity research analyst at Credit Suisse and as an operator in general management and senior business development roles. She started her career at McKinsey & Company, where she was part of the firm’s Media, Retail and Consumer Packaged Goods practices.
Dionne is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and its College of Engineering and Applied Science, where she earned degrees in Economics and Engineering. She received her M.B.A. from Harvard Business School where she focused her elective coursework on leadership and organizational strategy. Dionne currently resides in New York City with her husband and three children.
