Emilka Valentova is a Principal at ghSMART. She advises investors, boards, and executives on their most critical leadership challenges. She focuses on pivotal leadership selection issues, leadership coaching, top team effectiveness, and organizational change supporting her clients in achieving strategic and financial goals.
Prior to joining ghSMART, Emilka was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company for eight years. She served leading corporate clients, family-owned conglomerates and developers on organizational transformations and leadership development. As a core member of the firm’s Organization practice, Emilka led people leadership engagements across industries and geographies, including emerging markets in Eastern Europe, Africa and Indian subcontinent.
Emilka has a passion for leadership development and has designed and facilitated multiple client and internal learning trainings affecting 500+ participants. She lectured Economics to Harvard undergraduates and for the past three years has instructed Microeconomics to mid-career MPA students at Harvard Kennedy School.
Emilka has an MBA from Harvard Business School and graduated summa cum laude with a master’s degree in International Economic Studies from the University of Economics in Prague. Emilka lives in London.
