Erin Stahmer is a Principal at ghSMART where she partners with private equity, hedge fund and corporate clients on critical leadership challenges, including leadership assessment, team effectiveness, coaching, and organizational strategy and change.
Erin’s professional experience spans private equity, high-growth technology startups and strategy consulting. Most recently, Erin was a Vice President at Alpine Investors, a San Francisco-based private equity firm, where she built and ran the firm’s value creation function known as the Playbook. At Alpine, Erin advised CEOs and senior leaders in the software and services sectors, hired and staffed subject matter experts, and developed CEO playbook materials and best practices across organic growth levers. Additionally, Erin oversaw the growth of Alpine’s flagship CEO-in-training program. Her and her team successfully hired, onboarded, and coached top MBA candidates into CEO roles across Alpine’s portfolio. Erin is a trained Co-Active coach and has personally facilitated exit planning, strategy, and culture workshops and summits for her clients.
Prior to Alpine, Erin was a product manager at Zocdoc, a healthcare technology startup, where she led the sales engineering team on strategic sales and marketing growth initiatives.
Erin holds an MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business and graduated Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Sustainable Development and Dance from Columbia University in New York. Erin grew up in Sunnyvale, CA and currently resides in Seattle, WA.
