Paulo Ernesto Gaviria is a Fellow at ghSMART. He will work closely with Consultants in the service of clients and take the lead on driving priority research initiatives for the Firm. He is a rising senior at Yale University who is currently on a gap year and is majoring in Economics. Paulo is from Crompond, New York and served as the 2021 Co-President of Sube (Yale’s Latinx Pre-Professional Student Association) and 2022 Chief of Sponsorships for Hispanic Capital Group (HCG – an intercollegiate student-led educational group that seeks to create the next generation of Hispanic leaders and prepare members for successful careers in financial services).
Paulo spearheaded the transformation of Sube from a purely business focus to one more inclusive of other aspirations Latinx Yalie’s have by creating 5 tracks for Public Service & Law, Finance, Consulting, Engineering & Technology and Healthcare. Each track has senior and junior mentors with first-year and second-year students as mentees.
He also developed HCG’s uniform process for finding and maintaining relationships with recruiters, sharing opportunities with HCG members and organizing recruiting events.
Outside of Sube and HCG, Paulo has interned for Facebook as a Data Engineer in their Facebook University program, and recently finished his 2022 Business Analyst Internship with McKinsey & Co. where he worked within their People and Operational Performance capability. Paulo is passionate about diversity, equity and inclusion and is interested in talent pipelines, talent development, Organizational Health, private equity portfolio operations and investing, venture capital and growth equity.
For fun, Paulo enjoys working on his car, cliff diving, riding horses and is learning to DJ.
