Best Me: Increasing self-awareness – in myself and others – with both care and conviction. Lighting the fire of courage, to act with good judgment and empathy.
Best ghSMART moment to date: Hearing from a CEO, “When I first received your feedback, I was angry. The second time through, I made this list of the 10 things I am committing to do differently – and this is how it is going to shape our upcoming Board agenda.”
What I love outside of work: Attending lectures and concerts, playing violin, squash, skiing, drawing and aikido.
BJ Wright, Principal, London
Background: McKinsey & Company (Consultant), Columbia University (PhD, Organic Chemistry), Willamette University (BA, Chemistry)
Best Me: Being a trusted advisor with enduring connections, and improving life each day by learning and spreading good ideas with love, compassion, and enthusiasm.
Best ghSMART moment to date:I flew to a posh location in the tropics to meet with a CEO client for a coaching session in advance of her presentation to the board. In addition to a productive session and a memorable meal with the board that evening, my highlight was upon landing back home to collect my voicemails and hearing her elation and appreciation after the meeting, where she demonstrated why she is an A-player CEO.
What I love outside of work: Rowing, international travel, Swing-A-Ring, and spending time with my wife and daughters.

Best Me: Serving others.
Best ghSMART moment to date: I spent 10 hours in Paris with the CEO of a $1B company listening to her career story and her goals for her company and then walking along the Seine before having dinner.
What I love outside of work: Introducing my three young children to my passions: camping, Greek mythology, canoeing, having a love/hate relationship with a 110 year old house.
Sapna Werner, Principal, New York

Best Me: Being counted on by inspiring leaders and investors to provide thoughtful and candid insights to help them maximize their impact – and the value they create – in the world and to be their best selves.
Best ghSMART moment to date: Delivering a challenging message to the CEO and CHRO of a Fortune 500 company and having them say, “Thank you. We know we can always trust you guys to be honest with us.”
What I love outside of work: Running, baking, travel, the New York Times crossword puzzle, and rediscovering the world every day through the eyes of my daughter.
Steve Kincaid, Principal, Atlanta
Background: Sperduto & Associates, Leadership Capital Group, Right Management Consultants, Heidrick & Struggles Leadership Consulting, Michigan State University (BA, PhD, Clinical Psychology)
Best Me: I help leaders think clearly about ensuring the right people are in the right roles doing the right things – including themselves.
Best ghSMART moment to date: It’s hard to narrow it down to just one best moment but a recent day that came to mind included a sunrise beach walk on with our dogs, morning calls to clients in New York and London around important “Who” decisions, and an afternoon of writing before my flight to Chicago for an assessment the next day. I don’t take for granted that I can have a high quality professional and personal life at ghSMART.
What I love outside of work: Outside of ghSMART I’m often traveling to catch a favorite band, playing around Atlanta as a weekend musician, or doing what I can to support Charleston restaurants.
