Elizabeth Bacon is a Principal at ghSMART, where she advises private equity investors, hedge fund managers, and corporate clients on their most pressing leadership challenges. She partners with senior leaders to help maximize success through leadership assessment, leadership development and coaching, succession planning, and organizational effectiveness.
Prior to joining ghSMART, Elizabeth was a key member of the Leadership & Succession practice at Russell Reynolds Associates, where she designed and led assessment projects that helped clients make informed decisions around executive hiring, leadership development, succession planning, and merger/ acquisition integration.
Elizabeth is passionate about helping her clients build valuable organizations by ensuring that the right people are in the right roles. Elizabeth has assessed over 1,400 senior executives across over 300 companies, providing sound counsel to her clients and becoming a trusted advisor on talent-related issues. Her background in psychology, coupled with her applied experience, enables her to advise clients on key people issues and coach and develop leaders to perform to their highest potential.
Elizabeth has a Ph.D. in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the University of Tennessee and a B.S. in Psychology from James Madison University. She is a member of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, as well as the American Psychological Association. Elizabeth lives in Atlanta with her husband, Tyler, and their three kids.
