Louis Chambers is a Principal at ghSMART. He advises private equity and corporate clients on leadership assessment, leadership development, top team effectiveness, and organisational change.
Louis joined ghSMART after five years at McKinsey & Company serving senior leaders and CEOs of high-performing private equity funds, global businesses and public sector organisations. At McKinsey, he specialised in human capital and organisational transformations spanning various sectors, including energy, healthcare, telecommunications, construction and transport. Louis led projects on the Future of Work and management practices in the UK and co-authored Solving the United Kingdom’s productivity puzzle in the digital age, the McKinsey Global Institute‘s research effort to understand the causes of the United Kingdom’s productivity slowdown.
Before McKinsey, Louis trained as a lawyer and co-founded a climate change advocacy organisation, Generation Zero. He came to the UK on a Rhodes Scholarship, studying a MSc in Economics for Development and a Master of Public Policy at Balliol College, Oxford.
Louis was born in New Zealand and remains a proud supporter of the All Blacks rugby team from his London home where he lives with his wife and child.
