Louis Chambers is a Principal at ghSMART. He helps investors, boards and CEOs hire and develop the right leadership teams so that they can execute their strategy with confidence. He supports leadership transitions, assesses incoming hires, coaches senior leaders, and partners with executive teams to improve their effectiveness. His clients span the US, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
Louis previously worked in McKinsey & Company’s London office, where he specialised in human capital, private equity, and organisational transformations. Louis led projects on the Future of Work and talent management in the UK and co-authored “Solving the United Kingdom’s productivity puzzle in the digital age”, a McKinsey Global Institute paper exploring the causes of the UK’s productivity slowdown.
Before McKinsey, Louis trained as a lawyer and co-founded a climate change advocacy organisation, Generation Zero. He came to the UK on a Rhodes Scholarship, studying a MSc in Economics for Development and a Master of Public Policy at Balliol College, Oxford.
Louis was born in New Zealand and remains a proud supporter of the All Blacks rugby team from his London home where he lives with his wife and family.
