Michael Hall is a Principal at ghSMART. He advises corporate clients and investors on their most pressing leadership challenges, including leadership assessment, organizational effectiveness, and succession planning.

Prior to joining ghSMART, Michael was a Project Leader at Boston Consulting Group, where he collaborated with clients in the Fortune 500 and the public and nonprofit sectors to address key strategic, operational, and organizational change priorities. Michael served clients across a range of industries, including federal government, national and local nonprofits, aerospace and defense, private equity, agriscience, and information technology.

Before joining BCG, Michael earned his Ph.D. and M.S. in Social Psychology from the University of Michigan. Prior to graduate school, Michael obtained his B.S. in Psychology from Tufts University and worked in integrative medicine research at the University of California, San Francisco.

Michael lives in Oakland, CA with his wife and is an enthusiastic endurance athlete. He particularly enjoys long-distance running, cycling, skiing, and hiking
