Prak Malhotra is a Principal at ghSMART, where she advises private equity investors, hedge fund managers, and corporate clients on their most pressing leadership challenges. She partners with senior leaders to help maximize success through leadership assessment, leadership development and coaching, succession planning, and organizational effectiveness.

Prak’s previous professional experience spans private equity, investment banking, and high growth corporations. Most recently, Prak was a deal team Vice President at Advent International, one of the largest and most experienced global private equity firms, focused on the Retail, Consumer and Leisure sectors. At Advent, Prak sourced investments by building long-term relationships with management teams and advisors, quarterbacked diligence on new deals, and served as a trusted advisor to portfolio company leadership teams and Boards as they tackled pressing challenges such as organizational transformations, C-suite hires, and succession planning.

Prior to Advent, Prak worked in strategy at Chobani, a pioneer in the CPG industry, where she helped the company navigate a new phase of growth alongside its management team and investor. Before Chobani, Prak was a generalist investor at General Atlantic, a global growth equity firm, and began her career as an investment banking Analyst at Barclays, where she covered Technology, Media and Telecom clients. Prak has also spent time working alongside the management team of Blue Bottle Coffee, a coffee retailer now owned by Nestle, where she advised leadership on the headcount transformation required to support the company’s rapid growth.

Prak holds a M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.S. from New York University’s Stern School of Business. She lives in New York.
